About Outback Hound

Outback Hound provides 2 hour, off leash adventure pack walks. We service the Comox Valley and surrounding areas.

Outback Hound is owned and operated by Comox Valley resident, Sam Morlan.

Sam has a passion for the outdoors, and a love for canines.
She believes that both she and her dogs are at their best when they are properly exercised, trained, and OUTDOORS.

Dog's need a well balanced and well rounded routine in their lives and Sam is happy to help shape and take part in creating healthy routines and habits for your dog.

"Our goal is to provide high-quality dog walking that will help your furry friends stay healthy and happy. We are looking forward to serving Comox Valley dog owners!"

Dogs Running

What to Expect

We ask that each of the pups who join us wear a properly fitting martingale collar. If you do not currently have a martingale collar for your pups, we ask that this is something that is obtained prior to your pups first day. This is the safest method for walking with your dog and transporting your dog in a vehicle, as they prevent your dog from slipping out of its collar and putting itself in a potentially dangerous situation.

Please be aware that your dog will likely be very tired after their first day with Outback Hound. This is to be expected as it will potentially be a very new experience for them! We at Outback Hound will let you know how your dogs first day with us goes and if we feel they are or are not a good fit. Large group experiences are not a fit for every dog, and this is not to say that your dog is not a good dog! We will be thoroughly assessing your dog's anxiety level, temperament, and ensure that they will have positive experiences with us.

Our pick up and drop off times:

PACK WALK: pick up 7:30am-10am, drop off 12:30-pm-3:00pm

Because we try to create a sense of calm (as much as possible) while in our vehicles for pick up and drop off, we ask that you do not approach the vehicles and allow us to come to you for/with your dog.

Outback Hound values open communication, and we will be sure to update you on your dog with daily videos on our social media, as well as occasional messages or phone calls if necessary. We ask that you let us know if you notice your dog seems “off” or if there have been any occurrences that could affect your dog’s temperament while they are with us for the day. This includes any negative interactions or fights while they are not in our care. For example: Your dog has been in an altercation the night or morning prior to your dog coming into our care.
